There’s nothing more reaffirming of the fact that I have the best job in the world than getting to take portraits of gorgeous, well-dressed families from all over the country against the backdrop of the mighty Tetons. My session with the McGee family and their two adorable girls was no different and we made a spectacular day out of walking around the park and capturing photographs (and memories) to last a lifetime.
When I say the McGees were well-dressed, I mean it – I absolutely loved the color coordination of their outfits because it made my job a whole lot easier and simply elevated the output of every shot I took. Their outfits acted as a prelude to the incoming fall season in the Tetons, complete with jean jackets and autumn-y colors. In fact, they were so prepared that they even brought a change of outfits – from casual sweaters to elegant dresses and a suit for the dad. I especially loved the matching deep red dresses of the ladies because it really helped them to stand out from the surroundings (in a stunning way, might I add).
Although it was a difficult task for me to pick just the one favorite picture from this session, I’m going to have to go with the one taken from the back as the McGees sit on a bench and stare out at the lake. I love this one because it speaks to the closeness of the McGees and reminds me of the serenity I feel myself when I’m around my family.
