This family of four was taking their first family road trip from out East to the Grand Tetons, and decided to document their hike with a Grand Tetons Family Adventure portrait session! The Grand Tetons Family Adventure Portrait Session is a great way to capture both formal and more candid moments. We spent the morning taking some beautiful portraits set against the backdrop of sharp mountain peaks and lush green forests, as well as some quiet moments walking down trails, enjoying the scenery and each other’s company. During an adventure session, I love to see how families interact and help each other – it brings a sweetness to the photographs of hands being held across a difficult stretch, shoelaces being re-tied, or small children being carried when they’ve grown tired.
The trails around Grand Tetons make for some of the richest, scenery-dense portraits; it’s a setting that makes an impact both in person and in pictures, and an adventure session was the perfect way to capture the Ali family’s joy at having this experience together. The mountains were calling, and they answered!
