I have lived across the country and around the world, but the Grand Teton area has captured my heart. Here you can breathe freely, here you can live openly, here you can love fiercely.

The thing that I love most about my job is that I get to witness and capture the love between people. It’s such a real, palpable emotion that you can noticeably identify between two people who are really in love with each other. That is why I was honored to have been selected to do a shoot of Lindsay and Jessica, who recently got engaged, at the Grand Teton National Park.

This engagement session was special in so many ways. For one, Lindsay and Jessica have been together for 5 years now and are getting married in December, so it’s an exciting time for the two of them! Secondly, from the moment I met them I could tell that they were just right for each other, based solely off how happy they looked to be in each other’s company.

There are so many great images to choose from in this session, but I think my absolute favorite was the one in which the two of them are rowing in the paddle boat and looking ahead, with Lindsay rowing on one side and Jessica on the other. It really symbolizes the teamwork that goes into keeping a relationship alive, one that both of them manage to do quite well. Overall, it was such a memorable experience and I loved getting to spend time with Lindsay and Jessica.

What really matters is each other.

As your children grow and become who they are meant to be,  you'll want to remember who they were along the way.
